FOUNDED AS A DIVESTITURE OF BOISE CASCADE,

a manufacturer of wood products and wholesale distributor of building materials..

1993

ADOPTS 1st OPTIMIZED FRAMING SOLUTION,

enabling builders to frame houses faster using pre-cut lumber delivered to jobsite.

2000

PURCHASES 1st CNC ROUTER,

allowing BMC to produce consistent, high-quality work and improve millwork productivity.

2005

INSTALLS 1ST AUTO PUCK,

enabling crews to build trusses up to three times faster by positioning the pins on the table system automatically.

2010

INTRODUCES E-BUSINESS LOGISTICS PLATFORM,

enhancing the level of service customers have come to expect from BMC.

2012

NAMED PRO DEALER OF THE YEAR

Merges With Stock Building Supply

to become second-largest distributor of lumber and building materials in the U.S.

2016

BECOMES A PUBLIC COMPANY,

traded under “BMCH” on NASDAQ.

50TH DOOR PLANT BEGINS OPERATIONS,

giving BMC the ability to produce more than 15,000 doors per day.

OPENS 30th TRUSS PLANT,

as BMC continues to increase national footprint and operational capabilities.

2018

OPENS 1ST AUTOMATED TRUSS PLANT

in Cumming, GA with a second one opening in Salt Lake City, UT in 2019 and a third one slated for Seattle, WA in 2020.

UNVEILS BMC OPERATING SYSTEM

NAMES DAVE FLITMAN AS PRESIDENT AND CEO

and relocates corporate HQ to Raleigh, NC. Company had previously been headquartered in Boise, San Francisco and, most recently, Atlanta.
