Unlike ordinary plywood, Baltic Birch plywood is constructed with birch plies of equal thickness. There are no softwood plies in the middle, and the plies are generally thinner and more numerous than those in normal plywood. The result is in an extremely stable, strong, and attractive panel. Since there are virtually no voids in the panel, it provides excellent machining characteristics and screw-holding strength.
Red oak plywood panels offer excellent strength, dimensional stability, and screw-holding ability. Color is light tan to pinkish to reddish brown to dark tan or khaki. Ideal for projects where shrinking, warping, swelling, or splitting are a concern.
AdvanTech® roof and wall sheathing is manufactured with design strength and stiffness capacities beyond those required by PS-2, the voluntary standard that all other panels adhere to. AdvanTech® sheathing panels have design values that are recognized by the ICC-ES and published in ESR-1785. This sheathing panel has the superior strength you can rely on for high wind, snow, and ice loads. It won't warp, cup, or delaminate when exposed to weather, and it is designed to require less time wasted on costly rework.
Birch plywood is known for being a thin but strong building material that can tackle a variety of projects. It is light in color, and has a smooth surface that is devoid of splinters and rough or jagged edges. It is commonly used for constructing furniture, cabinets, and other appliances, especially in high-traffic areas.
This mid-grade plywood has a multilayered veneer core which adds dimensional stability. Great to use in supporting the backs of structures and subflooring. Largest internationally traded hardwood product.
Manufactured from thin sheets of cross-laminated veneer and bonded under heat and pressure with strong adhesives, plywood has been one of the most ubiquitous building products for decades. Plywood manufactured by APA member mills is available in a wide variety of appearance grades. They range from smooth, natural surfaces suitable for finish work and underlayment to more economical grades used for wall sheathing and subfloors.
This particle board can be used for a wide range of projects ranging from carpentry, hobbies, furniture, shelving, and countless other applications.
STYROFOAM SIS™ is a rigid structural insulation sheathing product consisting of a proprietary fibrous sheathing board laminated to one side of a proprietary rigid foam plastic. Excellent air barrier.
Marine grade plywood is assembled gap and void-free in all layers and laminated with special, water-proof glue that holds the various layers together. When immersed, water has absolutely no effect on the glue or the strength of the lamination of marine grade plywood. This plywood will not commonly delaminate, bubble, buckle, or warp. Upon cutting the plywood, no voids will be discovered on the cut edges. Marine grade is a superior grade of plywood that usually outlasts pressure-treated plywood because the typical glues used in plywood.
Sanded plywood is used in a wide variety of applications. Interior uses include cabinetry, furniture manufacturing, paneling, and shelving. Exterior uses include specialty construction and industrial applications such as fences, soffits, truck and boxcar linings, commercial refrigerators, and other applications in which exposure to high moisture is anticipated and smoothness and/or appearance are important.
Thermo-ply® Structural Sheathing is a stable-priced, high-performance alternative to wood structural panels. With grades and options to meet every builder’s needs, Thermo-Ply® meets or exceeds building codes. This sheathing provides an efficient water resistant barrier and best-in-class air barrier.
The toughest building panel available from TUFTEX®, the TUFTEX PolyCarb panels are perfect for greenhouses, outdoor gardening structures, sun porches, and other outdoor applications where light transmission is desired.
This plywood is produced with a fiber overlay treated with resin for an even paint application. It is manufactured with 100 percent waterproof adhesive. Great for structural siding, soffits, and other applications where a long-lasting coat or paint is needed.
The toughest building panel available from TUFTEX®, the TUFTEX PolyCarb panels are perfect for greenhouses, outdoor gardening structures, sun porches, and other outdoor applications where light transmission is desired.
OSB (oriented strand board) is manufactured from waterproof heat-cured adhesives and rectangular shaped wood strands that are arranged in cross-oriented layers, similar to plywood. This results in a structural engineered wood panel that shares many of the strength and performance characteristics of plywood. Produced in large, continuous mats, OSB is a solid panel product of consistent quality with no laps, gaps, or voids.
ZIP System® sheathing is a one-of-a-kind structural roof and wall system with a built-in energy-efficient barrier that keeps moisture out and reduces air leakage while still allowing panels to properly dry.
ZIP System® radiant barrier sheathing combines the energy efficiency benefits of a radiant barrier with the superior moisture protection and simple installation of ZIP System® sheathing.
These maple plywood panels offer excellent strength, dimensional stability, and screw-holding ability. The surface is smooth, tight, dense, and varies from soft pinkish white to light yellow to light khaki in color. Ideal for projects where shrinking, warping, swelling, or splitting are a concern.
